New emergency notification system for Woody Point

The Town of Woody Point has adopted the Voyent Alert! notification system to help provide immediate, up-to-date information to residents. In light of recent increases in forest fires in Newfoundland, and the forest fire season coming up soon, this system will allow the Town to send out immediate information in an emergency situation, as well as day-to-day notices.

The Voyent Alert! resident notification system allows residents to receive updates and notifications through the Voyent Alert! app, text messages, email, or phone calls. Residents can select how they want to be notified and the topics they want to be notified about. The service is free to residents and easy to use. Voyent Alert! is a Canadian-based company.

Notification Topics:

Emergency Alerts - These will include urgent alerts if an emergency situation were to occur in our community. These alerts will provide information about the situation, as well as what to do to stay safe. All subscribers will automatically receive these alerts.

General Notices - This will notify residents of non-urgent information, such as water outages, road closures, or garbage collection changes. This topic is optional for subscribers.

How to Register:

Registration for the service is FREE, it's simple and user-friendly. You can choose how you would like to receive notifications.
